When someone else in the sewing universe makes something this easy and cute, you just have to pass it on!
Kim of Oh Sweet Joy posted this fabric memory game a while back (compliments of Dawnelle) and it was featured today on Sew Can She – a super sewing project-a-day site that is worth checking out subscribing to.
Remember the old Memory card games? There are any number of these available today in all sorts of cute styles – but, why not create a custom deck in fabric? A simple sampling of your stash will work, or you can get super fancy and make an I-spy style deck using novelty fabrics with familiar images of animals, trains and princesses. No matter how you make it, the idea is simply fun.
A good basic machine is all that you need to bind fabric squares to a felt backing. Use either a zig-zag or applique stitch to tack the fabrics in place, and viola – a great little gift is stitched up in no time!
